BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Early Tuesday morning, officers arrested
36-year-old Sharon Maniaci. Maniaci, a Birmingham police officer, was arrested
on 6th Ave. S for public intoxication.
Officer Maniaci is out on a $500.00 bond from the Birmingham City Jail. She has been taken out of service pending an administrative investigation.
Officer Maniaci was off duty and not in uniform during the arrest.
Maniaci has worked as a Birmingham Police Officer for over 3 years and was assigned to the West Precinct.
