SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A Shreveport Police officer was fired
Monday for violating department policies.
Chief Willie Shaw fired Ryan Robinson,
28, after a pre-disciplinary conference held Monday, police say.
Robinson was arrested on May 4 for
misdemeanor theft and malfeasance in office for allegedly stealing property
during the execution of a search warrant.
Robinson was accused of stealing a
ceremonial American flag during a search warrant executed by the joint
Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force at a Vivian, Louisiana home back in
August of 2010.
Shreveport Police
later recovered the flag and turned it over to sheriff's investigators.
