A San Francisco police officer has been arrested on suspicion of felony drunken driving after he crashed his sports car in Groveland (Tuolumne County), injuring his passenger, authorities said.

Stanislav Bratchikov, 25, of San Mateo was rounding a curve on Ferretti Road shortly after 7 p.m. Monday when he apparently lost control of his 2002 Chevrolet Corvette and clipped a pine tree, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The car then slid down an embankment and struck another tree, according to the report.

Bratchikov's passenger, Kevyn Rivera, 20, of Groveland suffered a concussion and minor scrapes and was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Bratchikov was arrested and released after posting $25,000 bail. He is scheduled for arraignment Aug. 1.

Bratchikov is assigned to the San Francisco Police Department's operations division, which handles patrol services as well as some investigations, said Sgt. Michael Andraychak, a police spokesman.

"We're awaiting an incident report from California Highway Patrol," Andraychak said. "After it's reviewed, the department will make a determination on his work status."
