LONG BEACH — Trial was postponed Monday for a 29-year-old
Long Beach Police Department patrol officer charged with 20 felony counts of
domestic violence for the alleged on-going abuse of his wife.
Brandon Preciado is charged with a total of 21 counts, which
includes nine felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon and making a
criminal threat, all of which are felonies. He is also charged with one
misdemeanor count of resisting arrest following a standoff with Los Angeles
County Sheriff's Deputies outside his Pico Rivera home.
Preciado was suspended without pay at the time of his arrest
in January and has been held without bail since that time.
He is scheduled to return to the downtown Los Angeles
