LITTLE ROCK, Ark.
(AP) — The trial of a former Arkansas police officer charged in a sweeping drug
and corruption investigation has been rescheduled.
Former Helena-West
Helena police officer Marlene Kalb
is due to go on trial Dec. 10 in federal court in Little Rock. She was
previously slated to go on trial next month.
Kalb has pleaded
not guilty to drug-related and money-laundering charges and was released from
custody earlier this year.
She's one of five
former law enforcement officers charged in an investigation called Operation
Delta Blues. The probe focused on corruption and drug trafficking in the
Mississippi Delta town of Helena-West Helena.
The four other
former officers have pleaded guilty to various charges.
More than 60
others were also indicted in the investigation.
