Former Officer Indicted for Assaulting a Child

A former Delcambre (La) Police officer is charged with aggravated battery. Ernest Billiot is accused of repeatedly shocking a four year old boy with a dangerous weapon back in 2005. A grand jury in Iberia Parish indicted Billiot. But it's not his first run in with the law. Back in 2008, he was arrested for allegedly laying his hands on a woman during a traffic stop. Billiot was fired from the Jeanerette Police Department back in 1999. He was convicted of simple battery then.
