Milwaukee Police chief to respond to four firings in department

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn was set to respond Wednesday to the firing of four Milwaukee Police officers in the past week.

The latest officer to be fired was involved in a murder investigation.

"We just want justice served," said Larry Seturn, the uncle of murder victim Russ Setum. "It was a senseless crime that should have never happened."

Someone killed Setum during a carjacking last week.

Police sources tell TODAY'S TMJ4 that former probation officer Danielle Scott, 22, was dating the suspect in Setum's death.

She was arrested Friday and fired Monday for lying in the murder investigation. She may face criminal charges in the investigation.

Scott's firing brings the tally to four MPD officers fired in the past week.

Another officer was fired for making inappropriate comments to co-workers.

A third officer faced firing for using excessive force, while a fourth received a pink slip for his second drunk driving incident.

Flynn was to hold a roll call outside the Harley-Davidson Museum at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
