officer suspended


AUSTIN -- Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo has punished Officer William Clark. He is serving a 30-day suspension after being arrested for driving while intoxicated.

According to a disciplinary memo, a DPS trooper arrested Officer Clark last November in Bastrop County while he was off duty.

Clark agreed to serve the suspension. He also agreed to be randomly tested for alcohol.
