Cop cuffed in DWI and jailer busted in Harlem mayhem

Officer Ronald Gonzalez of 77th Precinct nabbed after crashing into pole; jailer David Grant charged with hindering arrest of a pal

An NYPD cop ended up on the wrong side of the law when he crashed car in Brooklyn Heights after midnight Sunday and was charged with drunken driving, police said.

A COP and a city correction officer were arrested in unrelated incidents while off-duty early Sunday morning.

NYPD Officer Ronald Gonzalez of the 77th Precinct in Crown Heights crashed into a pole while driving in Brooklyn Heights shortly before 12:30 a.m., police said.

Gonzalez, who was not injured, was charged with drunken driving and refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, police said.

Correction Officer David Grant, 30, was busted after cops ordered a rowdy group of people to disperse from a Harlem streetcorner about 2 a.m., officials said.

When the officers moved in to arrest someone Grant knew who had refused to comply, Grant interfered, police said.

He was booked for obstructing government administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, police said.
