An NYPD cop ended up on the wrong
side of the law when he crashed car in Brooklyn Heights after midnight Sunday
and was charged with drunken driving, police said.
A COP and a city correction officer
were arrested in unrelated incidents while off-duty early Sunday morning.
NYPD Officer Ronald Gonzalez of the
77th Precinct in Crown Heights crashed into a pole while driving in Brooklyn
Heights shortly before 12:30 a.m., police said.
Gonzalez, who was not injured, was
charged with drunken driving and refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, police
said.
Correction Officer David Grant, 30, was busted
after cops ordered a rowdy group of people to disperse from a Harlem
streetcorner about 2 a.m., officials said.
When the officers moved in to arrest
someone Grant knew who had refused to comply, Grant interfered, police said.
He was booked for obstructing
government administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, police
said.
