Police property custodian accused of stealing

A veteran Chicago police property custodian was recently accused of stealing jewelry and other items from police custody.

A Cook County judge ordered Pamela Brown, 55, held on $40,000 bail on March 6. Brown, of the 10000 block of South Emerald Avenue, was charged with felony theft and official misconduct for taking items from a police evidence facility, according to police.
