Anti-police brutality demonstrations planned in Montreal
MONTREAL - Two demonstrations are planned for Thursday afternoon to denounce unnecessary violence on the part of police at the student protests against tuition fee hikes that took place in Montreal Wednesday.
These demonstrations come after approximately 200 people held a peaceful protest to condemn the police violence in downtown Montreal Wednesday evening.
A second anti-police-violence protest is planned for 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Place Emilie Gamelin.
The third will begin at 6 p.m. at the corner of Guy and De Maisonneuve Blvd. A rally marking International Women's Day is also expected to participate.
