ARCOLA, Ill. (WTW) — A central Illinois police official is being held on $100,000 bond on armed violence and official misconduct charges.

Police arrested 33-year-old Rogelio Javier Gutierrez of Humboldt without incident Friday at the Arcola Police Department.

Gutierrez is an Arcola police officer and is chief of police of Hindsboro. He's being held at the Douglas County Jail.

Arcola Police Chief Michael W. Phillips tells the (Champaign) News-Gazette (http://bit.ly/zb2J9B ) that Gutierrez has been suspended with pay from the department.

Illinois State Police Lt. Tad Williams says Gutierrez was arrested after a two-month investigation. He says the alleged misconduct didn't happen on only one date. He says no one was physically hurt and that there's at least one alleged victim.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Gutierrez has an attorney
