WOBURN -- The lawyer for a man accused of fatally stabbing a visitor to Regis College wants the murder charge against his client dismissed, saying the case has been rife with misconduct by police and prosecutors.
Robenson Daniel of Boston is accused of stabbing 18-year-old Elhadji Ndiaye of Waltham on the Weston’s school’s campus in September 2010.
Neither was a student at Regis, but were there visiting friends.
The MetroWest Daily News reports that Robenson’s lawyer said in court Wednesday that state troopers investigating the case can be seen on recordings prompting witnesses to give answers that would help build their case against Daniel. He also said prosecutors allowed witnesses she knew were lying to testify during grand jury proceedings.
The judge did not immediately rule.
