CROWN HEIGHTS - A Crown Heights man plans to sue for police
brutality over claims officers raided his apartment, beat him and yelled
anti-gay slurs.
Jabber Campbell claims that police came to his apartment last
Saturday night over a noise complaint. He says officers returned early Sunday
despite him turning down his music. According to Campbell, the officers raided
his apartment and beat him while yelling anti-gay slurs.
Campbell claims that one officer can be seen on video disabling
a security camera prior to the alleged attack.Officials say Campbell pushed an officer and tried to flee the
scene, resulting in his arrest for resisting arrest and attempted assault.
